Guardiola unconcerned by Bundesliga table

Pep Guardiola admits he is not worried by the fact that Bayern Munich are not already topping the Bundesliga table.

The German champions have secured eight points from their opening four games but are fourth in the league due to goal difference.

Bayern meet current league leaders Paderborn on Tuesday and could go top with a win.

"The table isn't important yet," said the former Barcelona coach. "We have to focus on our own results and performances, not others.

"Paderborn are very impressive, though, and we know why they're top of the table. They'll press us aggressively. They have nothing to lose."

Bayern to continue Dortmund raid

They signed Mario Gotze for €37 million [£30m] and have already secured the services of Robert Lewandowski for next season, but Bayern Munich are not ready to call time on the pursuit of Borussia Dortmund's top stars.

Ilkay Gundogan is the latest Dortmund player to be linked with Bayern, with the midfielder reportedly targeted as a replacement for Toni Kroos, who could leave the Champions League holders this summer.

And Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has indicated the Bundesliga giants will not stop raiding their rivals.

"We would never make a senseless decision to no longer sign players from Dortmund," he told ZDF.

"We have a good relationship with Dortmund. I met with their CEO last summer and any bad feelings were cleared up then."

Guardiola & Rummenigge turn Sherlock & Watson to seek out the Bayern spy

Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola has revealed his frustration after discovering tactics and information have been leaked to the press.

German newspaper Bild revealed Guardiola's tactical plan for Borussia Dortmund prior to the game and have also been exact with their predicted line-ups in recent months.

Chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has warned any player found to be responsible will be in “big trouble” with the duo set to turn into Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson mode in order to detect their mole.

Bayern chief issues Gotze sponsor warning

Bayern Munich star Mario Gotze has caused a stir between sponsors for the second time since moving to the Allianz Arena.

Upon moving to Bayern, Gotze was pictured wearing clothes made by Nike while holding the club's shirt, made by rival kit manufacturers adidas.

And the former Borussia Dortmund man has again been photographed sporting Nike clothing.

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, the Bayern chief executive, has offered some advice to Gotze.

"Maybe [it was a publicity stunt], I do not know," the 58-year-old told Bild. "But maybe there is also an intention by the company to annoy another competitor. I imagine that could be the case.

"But he should not let them abuse him. That would be my advice to him."
