Mourinho's bus runs out of gas
Jose Mourinho suffered his fourth successive Champions League semi-final defeat as Atletico Madrid triumphed 3-1 over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.
The Portuguese had lauded his side's efforts in the first leg, where they claimed a 0-0 draw at the Vicente Calderon, but the lack of an away goal would prove costly as the Blues were forced to chase the game following Adrian's equalizer.
At 1-1, and in need of a goal, Mourinho threw on Samuel Eto'o in place of Ashley Cole, though the Cameroonian's first - and only - involvement of note was to gift Atleti a penalty.
After back-to-back clean-sheets at Liverpool and Madrid, Mourinho's 'parked bus' tactics finally came unstuck, with Diego Costa netting from the spot before Arda Turan wrapped up the win.
Unable to get out of first gear and find a response, Chelsea's bus well and truly ran out of gas as the Blues limped out of the Champions League.

Hart & Nastasic gift wrap Chelsea's winner
Sunday's clash at Stamford Bridge appeared to be heading for a tie as Chelsea and Manchester City were both holding firm in the final stages.
But one hopeful long punt towards City's goal triggered Joe Hart to sprint out from his area, only for Matija Nastasic to head the ball past his own goalkeeper, which allowed Fernando Torres to tap in the winner and send Jose Mourinho crowd surfing.

Tahiti-tamer Torres targets Golden Boot
The much maligned Chelsea striker has not found it so easy to hit the
back of the net in recent years, having struggled since moving to
Stamford Bridge from Liverpool for £50 million.
So it was understandable when he filled his boots against Tahiti at the Confederations Cup on Thursday, bagging four of Spain's 10 goals in the biggest victory ever in a senior Fifa competition.
Despite missing a penalty, the striker is now in the driving seat to win yet another Golden Boot thanks to his target practice against the Oceania minnows.

Benitez bolsters CV as Chelsea celebrate Europa League glory
Chelsea secured their second European title in two seasons on Wednesday,
seeing off Benfica in Amsterdam to win the Europa League final.
Fernando
Torres opened the scoring for the Blues and although Oscar Cardozo
equalised for Jorge Jesus’s men, Branislav Ivanovic’s late header won
the title for Rafael Benitez’s men.
The win follows last season’s
Champions League triumph and means Rafael Benitez has now become just
the fourth manager to win the Europa League (or Uefa Cup in its previous
incarnation) more than once.

Rafa hits the jackpot as Luiz sends Chelsea into Europa League final
David Luiz was the toast of Stamford Bridge on Thursday night as he
completed the scoring to help Chelsea beat Basel 3-1 in the Europa
League semi-final second leg.
The Brazilian has developed
something of a reputation for a stunning goal, and his latest - a
thunderous curling strike into the top corner - was no exception.
The
victory saw Chelsea secure a 5-2 aggregate victory, giving Rafa Benitez
the chance to contest a Europa League final and finish his interim stay
at Stamford Bridge with a piece of silverware.
