Sandwich man Suarez wants Liverpool exit

Along with Gareth Bale and Wayne Rooney, Luis Suarez has dominated the back pages all summer long as he attempts to force a move away from Liverpool.

The Reds have been firm in their stance that the Uruguay international is not for sale, with John W. Henry issuing a stern warning to Arsenal that they would not entertain the idea of selling to their Premier League rivals.

Suarez has made no secret of his desire to leave the Merseysiders but, with time running out, will he get his wish before the transfer window closes?

Cheers! Manchester United players talk transfers

Rio Ferdinand has told of how he and his Manchester United team-mates sit around "like fellas in a pub" discussing transfer rumours over the summer.

The centre-back let us into the world of millionaire footballers and their opinions, revealing phrases such as "I don't think he'll be any good, he'll be a great big waste of money" - he's not talking about Wayne Rooney, is he?!

Big-money move Pharoah-way for Draxler

Schalke starlet Julian Draxler has revealed that he had sleepless nights while on holiday in Egypt as he was mulling over massive moves to Manchester City and Real Madrid.

The 19-year-old eventually elected to stay with the Bundesliga outfit, but was clearly tempted by the opportunity to play for some of the world's richest clubs.

- See more at: http://taqaddam.org/opinions/%D8%A3%D9%8A%D9%86-%D8%AA%D8%AA%D8%AC%D9%87-%D9%85%D9%86-%D8%A3%D8%AC%D9%84-%D8%A8%D9%84%D8%AF%D9%8A%D8%A7%D8%AA-%D8%A3%D9%81%D8%B6%D9%84%D8%9F#sthash.3uQ8y3ee.dpuf

Not the real Ronaldo?

Jose Mourinho may have ruffled Cristiano Ronaldo's feathers after suggesting that the Real Madrid forward inferior to Brazil's Ronaldo.

"I was manager for the first time in the 2000 year but, before that, I was assistant in big clubs and with big managers and coaching the best players in the world, so I was 30 and I was coaching Ronaldo, not this one [Cristiano], the real one, the Brazilian Ronaldo," the Chelsea boss told ESPN.

Ronaldo has since responded with: "I have gotten used to people saying bad things about me. As we say in Portugal: 'I do not spit on the plate I'm eating from.' That's all I want to say about it."

Ibrahimovic a 'born Manchester United player'

Manchester United are yet to make a significant signing this summer after missing out on Thiago Alcantara to Bayern Munich, while their pursuit of Cesc Fabregas has stalled.

But one former United star knows who he wants to see playing for the club.

Peter Schmeichel, who played with a number of club legends during his time at Old Trafford, wants Zlatan Ibrahimovic to leave Paris Saint-Germain behind and make the move to the Premier League.

"You've got to ask Zlatan why he hasn't played in England yet, but I'd love to see him at Manchester United," Schmeichel said.

"I don't know who he supports, but he's a born Manchester United player, he would be absolutely brilliant.

"I think our supporters would love him, if he ever made that move, he wouldn't move again. For Zlatan to play the way we love him to play, he has to be Zlatan

'Bale? 100 billion dollars!'

If anyone is capable of getting the highest fee possible for Gareth Bale, it'll be Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy.

Real Madrid have been relentless in their pursuit of the 24-year-old, but the Spanish club will need to part with at least £100 million in order to get their man this summer.
