Humpty dumpty Benitez falls off the wall

Chelsea's 'interim' manager Rafa Benitez has finally lost his rag with the club's supporters' continual protests against his reign.

After the 2-0 FA Cup victory over Middlesbrough on Wednesday night, the Spaniard slammed fans for having an "agenda" against him while also hitting out at the board for giving him the temporary tag.

And now it seems, with the 52-year-old confirming he will leave at the end of the season, that the manager has firmly fallen from his post and the Blues' can do nothing to put him back together again...

Mourinho orchestrates famous victory as Barca face the music

After a season blighted by poor form and in-fighting, the tides finally turned in Real Madrid's favour on Tuesday evening as they sealed a 3-1 victory at the home of rivals Barcelona to earn a place in the Copa del Rey final.

Cristiano Ronaldo's double was followed by a Raphael Varane header - the youngster's second in the two-legged tie - to ensure that Jordi Alba's late goal was nothing more than a consolation.

The £80m-man was quick to hail the side's "perfect" performance, and the joy of victory on their bitter rivals' home turf was clearly etched on Jose Mourinho's face after guiding his side to a famous win in Catalonia.

Ronaldo in disguise? Brilliant Bale downs West Ham

West Ham became the latest team to be swept aside by Gareth Bale on Monday evening, with the Welshman bagging his second double in successive Premier League games to earn a crucial 3-2 win for Tottenham.

His sublime strike in the dying minutes of the game ensured Spurs leapfrogged Chelsea into third place in the table, leading manager Andre Villas-Boas to suggest the 23-year-old should already be crowned Player of the Year.

And such an accolade is well within Bale's grasp, whose scinitillating form since the turn of the year has him following in the footsteps of former Premier League great and current Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

All eyes on Beckham in PSG bow

David Beckham became the latest star to land in Ligue 1 with Paris Saint-Germain when he made his debut as a substitute in the 2-0 victory over Marseille.

The 37-year-old was thrilled after a "special night" at the Parc des Princes as even Zlatan Ibrahimovic was forced to play second fiddle to the English icon.

The Swedish striker was able to get on the score sheet, however, bagging a late goal that Beckham played a part in at the end of his 15-minute cameo appearance from the bench.
