Bayern undaunted by incredible Wenger rage

"You wouldn't like me when I'm angry" is the image that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger appears to have been projecting to all and sundry ahead of his side's crucial Champions League meeting with Bayern Munich.

The Gunners boss came out swinging at his pre-match press conference in response to what he described as "wrong information" and stories intended to hurt him following Saturday's 1-0 FA Cup exit at the hands of Championship outfit Blackburn.

Wenger can rage all he wants, of course, but the runaway Bundesliga leaders look like opponents too tough to be cowed by a fearsome outburst. Let battle be joined...

Van Persie reveals extent of his Manchester United addiction

Robin van Persie has piped up with his latest tribute to Manchester United and the benefits of his exit from Arsenal last summer.

The striker has already taken a swipe at his former club this season by suggesting he is among players who all know how to be champions, and now, the 29-year-old believes he is getting more fulfilment out of his football due to the higher stakes at Old Trafford.

"I love the intensity of playing for United," the Dutchman said.

"It is great to be involved in huge games when you don't know what is going to happen. You get more out of it when there is a thin line between winning and losing.

"I love the buzz, the drama, the excitement. I live for that. I can't imagine the day when I have to stop playing. I know I will miss the buzz so much."

Wenger's search for silverware continues

Arsenal's long wait for a piece of silverware continues after crashing out of the FA Cup on Saturday.

Arsene Wenger's side, who have not won a trophy since May 2005, suffered a fifth round defeat at home to Championship outfit Blackburn Rovers.

The Gunners are still in the Champions League, but judging by Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich's scintillating form, Wenger might have better luck finding a trophy with a metal detector.

Current Europa League champions Atletico Madrid are in danger of heading out of the competiton following a 2-0 defeat at home by Rubin Kazan.
