Attilio Lombardo was one of those players I loved watching as a kid.

The unmistakable bald head, the speed down the wing, and that iconic Sampdoria shirt made him impossible to forget.

He was part of Sampdoria’s golden generation, winning the historic 1990–91 Serie A title and helping the club reach the European Cup final at Wembley.
