He Refused to Shave Until Manchester United Won 5 Games…

In October 2024, Manchester United fan Frank Ellett made a bold promise: he would not cut his hair until the club won five consecutive matches. What sounded simple turned into a 490+ day challenge. After months of inconsistency, United finally went on a run under interim manager Michael Carrick — defeating Manchester City, Arsenal, Fulham and Tottenham. Four wins in a row. Just one more to end the challenge. Then came West Ham. The result? 1–1. No fifth win. No haircut. And the hair survives.

Manchester United’s Draw Saved His Hair… Again 😂

He was one win away from shaving… Then Manchester United drew again. Four wins in a row. One draw. And the hair survives 😂

Moyes left to balance Manchester United injuries

David Moyes has been given little time to enjoy Manchester United's 1-0 victory over Arsenal at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The Scot saw Robin van Persie pull out of the Netherlands' friendlies against Japan and Colombia due to ongoing problems with his toe and groin.

Michael Carrick and Danny Welbeck, meanwhile, have also been forced to withdraw from international duty with England, who face Chile and Germany over the coming days,

The trio of injuries could leave Moyes balancing his options at Manchester United after the international period and hoping their good form in recent games does not fall apart.

King Bale hailed by fellow PFA nominees

Gareth Bale scooped the PFA Player and Young Player of the Year awards on Sunday evening, capping a breathtaking personal season for the Tottenham winger.

Luis Suarez, who was banned for 10 games for biting Branislav Ivanovic, finished in second place, but his name was booed both times it was read out at the ceremony on Sunday night.

And with the Uruguayan in Premier League quarantine, it was left to Bale's four other rivals to bow down to the newly-crowned King.

Take that Tevez! Sir Alex & Man United celebrate sweet revenge

Manchester United got their own back on rivals City by clinching their 20th league title on Monday night.

Roberto Mancini's men broke United hearts on the final day of last season, and Carlos Tevez infamously celebrated by holding up an "RIP Fergie" banner on their open-top bus tour through Manchester.

But United have roared back this season to leave Tevez et al in their wake, and Sir Alex can once again celebrate in style.
