The World Cup: Heroes and beautiful moments

What makes the World Cup different from any tournament?

For me I started to watch football in 1990 during Italia 90, believing in Diego Maradona, amazed by Roger Milla's celebration and watching Lothar Matthäus lifting the trophy.
I felt in love with Italy after seeing Roberto Baggio's skill, style and his boney tail. I forgave his penalty miss in the 1994 World Cup, he is Baggio at the end. Bebeto's celebration and tribute to his baby was unforgettable. Saeed Al-Owairan goal on Belgium gave the Arab world a moment of that they create do miracles too.
All of these colorful moments continued tournament after tournament. Zidane and Ronaldo were at the top of the world and heroes of a new era. Iniesta's goal at the 2010 final was a big moment for Spain's history, and i have witnessed Klose marking himself as all time world cup top scorer. While Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo I'm preparing myself to see their last dance. Mbappe represent the future for me.

As a fan of course I read and watched moments that happened while i wasn't born from other legends. Pele, Moore, Beckenbauer, Muller, Cruyff, Rossi, Tardelli and much more.

Dutch Master Van Persie overtakes class of legends

Netherlands destroyed Hungary 8-1 in Amsterdam on Friday evening in one of the Oranje's more impressive displays.

Louis van Gaal's side had already qualified for World Cup 2014 but put on a show in front of expectant fans in the Amsterdam ArenA, led by Robin van Persie.

The Manchester United striker has steadily climbed the goalscoring ranks for his country, but finally overtook Patrick Kluivert at the top of the list after he netted a stellar hat-trick against Hungary.

Van Persie celebrated his 40th strike by running to Kluivert - now assistant coach to Van Gaal - before repeating the act of emotion as he went one better than the former Ajax and Barcelona hitman with his third goal on the night.
